| how can I calculate the width of the transmission line (wf) for the line feeding of the microstrip patch antenna ; I mean what its design equation. |

You can try using the calculator on this page as an approximation:

In general it is a function of t, the width of the line, the dielectric constant....
For a circuit board, t and the dielectric are fixed, so you can get the result you want by changing the width of the line (W). Increasing W lowers the characteristic impedance Z0.
Typically receivers have an impedance of 50 Ohms, and so if the antenna is designed to be 50 Ohms, the characteristic impedance you should be trying to obtain is 50 Ohms. |

but i ask about the width of the line feeding(wf)?is this what u named (W) at ur design sketch and the equation ? or this is the width of the patch antenna itself ?

In the reply I was talking about the width of the transmission line. If you increase the width, the impedance decreases.
The impedance of the patch antenna also decreases with width. |
