As per Maxwell's equations the speed of light is
c = 1/sqr(permeability X permittivity)
I find that both permeability and permittivity have pi in their calculations. Since spacetime is not flat, the value of pi would change due to the curvature of space near large masses. Does this mean that the speed of light would also be altered by the curvature of spacetime? |

I think that is a bit of a stretch to argue that:
(1) pi is in the equation, therefore the physical constant is a function of the area of a circle
(2) relativity has length contraction, therefore circles have different areas, therefore pi should change
I'm not sure you can really argue from either of those two points |
