Hi all,

I am doing a heat load analysis for a communications room on a submarine. I don't have access to the wild heat data from our radio manufacturers. What is the overall efficiency of modern HF, VHF and UHF radios? Assuming a power factor of 1. I recall reading that 20% of electrical power is converted to RF signals; is this true? With the rest of the power being ejected as wild heat from the transceiver.

Thanks guys.

Cheers
