Hi,

I was wondering what typical tests are done to ensure good Wifi transceiver design (board level).

e.g. Link budget theory and test, acceptance band, channel sensitivity, selectivity, antenna gain measurements, conducted and radiated transmit power, etc.

You have a good list there. I would add:

EVM - error vector magnitude http://www.antenna-theory.com/definitions/evm.php

Conducted and radiated harmonics for out of band emissions

Adjacent channel interference

In general, make sure to measure throughput relative to shipping product and see how well it performs.
