I am sumit from India currently persuing my MS.I am very much interested
in the field of antenna and radar. I viewed your website
www.antenna-theory.com and found it too kuch interesting so that i kept my
book of antenna one side and just read out the whole contents as you had
put there. It's awesome. The intuitive approach which you have followed is
awesome.I request you to cover those toppics also which are left.
Also i want to ask you that what are the current research areas in the
field of antenna and radars.I am in my earlier stage of my research work
so that i am quite confused. The more i read the more i get confused.
Can you suggest me some area which are not given attention yet in antennas
and radars.I will be very thankful to you for this.
Thanks
Sumit.

Sumit,

Thank you for the kind words. I am working (slowly) to add more content and information to the website when I have time.

There is currently a lot of research work being done on antennas. If you can, try to get access to some journals of IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. You can look through these and try to see what kind of work people are performing.

A lot of research is currently being done on patch/microstrip antennas. Every device these days (phones, gps units, mp3 players) have antennas in them and each one needs an antenna or two. That would be a good area to get into, if you become an expert in that area you will be able to get a good job.

There are many areas of interest, but I would recommend finding the above journal (or the conference proceedings) and just working on whatever you find interesting. If there is a professor you could work with, you could start researching what he is interested in and gradually shift it to what you are interested in. That's how I got my doctorate.

Regards
