Conformal antennas are antennas that conform to a surface. An example is a monopole on a curved airplane surface. Or a cavity-backed spiral antenna etched into a ground plane. Conformal antennas are best understood by understanding the list of antenna types, and then adapting one to the specific application.

I've got a questions for u: Where are you from and where are you studying?

I can send you book: Design of nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmissions Lines by Kin-Lu Wong. I also have: ELECTRONIC WARFARE
AND RADAR SYSTEMS ENGINEERING HANDBOOK.

You can search for: A. Henderson, J. R. James, and C. M. Hall, “Bandwidth Extension Techniques in Printed Conformal Antennas,” Military Microwaves, Vol. MM 86, pp. 329–334, 1986.

I'm working right now about planar antennas for S-band. Everything else is top secret. Anyway, I can help you a bit with research for books.

hello guys,

Do you know What's the difference between a TV antenna and an FM antenna?

I can plug my TV antenna into my home theater receiver to get radio signal, but it's a pain to move it around so much. Should I buy another TV antenna, or should I buy an FM antenna just for receiving radio? What's the difference? Is one more expensive?

Thank you!

Antennas work as a frequency filter so RADIO frequencies are too low in spectrum to be recived by TV antenna. I suggest to buy very cheap telescope antenna(long copper pipe) or something like that http://www.hiwtc.com/photo/products/8/05/04/50478.jpg. Importatnt is bandwidth and dBi gain to look at product. The higher dBi is the bigger is "amplification" of signal. You can also buy a direction antenna and turn it to FM station.
