I've been periodically going to google's career page and typing the word "antenna", and finally I've gotten a hit:

RF Sensor Engineer based in Mountain View, CA

They still haven't posted anything about building hardware for a smartphone or tablet, although my sources indicate they may be moving towards that.

Anyway, it is a good thing for the antenna community whenever a non-defense company posts an antenna job! Cheers
