Hello,
I'm thinking of a way to maximize the reception for the receiver of my model plane, operating on 40 MHz.
Right now it has a single thin wire antenna (as all models) which i made longer to a lenght which received best a signal on 40 MHz, using a scanner.
It seems to be ok, but I would really love to have it at its best.
People on forums talk about V antennas (wire-made) with one leg on the wings and the other in the airstream...
I just wonder what could be best for an omni-directional use (of course plane has to receive in any attitude) and especially considering it should receive in the best possible way flying away from me, towards me and sideways.
