| ECC is a measure of how correlated radiation patterns are. As the antennas are separated, then incoming rays (plane waves) from different directions are more likely to be out of phase (you can read up on antenna arrays if that doesn't make sense). Since ECC integrates over the whole 3d surface, less correlation integrates to a lower ECC. |
