| I am currently wondering about how to create a UHF (LMR) 'diversity' antenna using a an omni fiberglass whip antenna and yagi beam. I need the beam to be radiate with a certain azimuth away from whip. Example: Omni (107") (LMR, UHF) is at a particular location about 25' off of the ground on a mast, a Yagi (UHF, LMR) mounted to the same mast (height is arbitrary, unless a recommended one is neccessary) pointing into a certain direction of desired extended RF coverage. Would all that is required be a phasing cable [harness] (maintaining correct impedance and phase) to split the TX signal to each antenna? Thank you in advance for answering. |
