i am doing and project using pyramidal horn antenna as transmitter.
i am having problem in feeding
could please any one guide me about probe feeding and how to measure its distance in wave guide etc.

Hey Osha,
I just had the same doubt and I did some research in Balanis and papers around the internet, what I found out was:
the distance in the waveguide will be L=λg/4 in which:
λg = wavelength of the wave along the transmission line.
I found out that :
And also, the probe length can be determined by D=λo/4
where λo is the wavelength in free space;
I ran some simulations in HFSS and were very accurately.
If anyone know more about it, please pay attention to them. |
