Hi everyone

Do you know are there any objective Acceptance-Test to verify an antenna measurement system is reliable?

e.g. isolation of the shield chamber > 110 dB, the aligment of the system, etc...

we're focusing measurements freq band at UHF or lower, and we're targeting near-field measurement system.

I'm not sure if there are agreed upon acceptance tests, but here's what I would look for in a chamber:

1) Your tests must be repeatable. That is, you do a measurement, pull out the device under test, redo the measurement, and the results don't change.

2) You measure a standard gain antenna, or something you know what the answer should be, and check that the results you get look correct, in terms of polarization, efficiency, pattern, etc. If you have another chamber you can check a device on first, that is helpful.

3) For isolation, if your tests are repeatable t his shouldn't be a problem. Especially at UHF, if things are encased in metal with good springs on the door you should be ok there. You can put in a spectrum analyzer and measure the noise power with door open/closed to get an idea.
