Hello, please help
i got problem when use slits method (peripheral slits or Meandered slits) many papper research said used slits can reduce the patch size 5-30%. And i cant reduce my antenna size, because no different size (Width or length) patch with Slits . i use AWR 2009 software for design and simulation my project.
With no slits my patch width is 39mm
With many slits my patch width still 39mm
So how to reduce size using slits ?? is there anything wrong in the way I measure the width of the antenna? I beg explanation...

The slots must be transverse to the current flow in order to have any appreciable effect. That is, they must force current to "reroute"around the slot. Since the current is zero at the radiating edge of the patch, putting a slot near the edge will have minimal effect. Put it near the middle of the patch. |
