hi
I've really confused about the reflected power and radiated power in the following link:
http://www.antenna-theory.com/definitions/sparameters.php
what's difference between reflected power and radiated power?

S11 represents how much power is reflected from the antenna. If S11=0 dB, then all the power is reflected from the antenna and nothing is radiated. If S11=-10 dB, this implies that if 3 dB of power is delivered to the antenna, -7 dB is the reflected power.

All the power reflected from the antenna!ok but from antenna to where?
To the input ?or to the feeding?
can we write this?

-----------------------------------------
P(input)=P(reflected)+P(Radiated)
-----------------------------------------
if P(input)=1W and the S11=-10dB so by using this equation we have:
S11=10*Log(P(reflected)/P(input))=>-10dB=10*Log(P(reflected)/1)
So P(reflected)=0.1W and by using the following equation

P(input)=P(reflected)+P(Radiated)
P(radiated)=0.9W

and If S11=-10 dB, this implies that if 3 dB of power is delivered to the antenna, -7 dB is the reflected power.

it means that for 3dB delivered power to the antenna i.e P(input)=2W
P(reflected)=0.2W and the P(radiated)=1.8W

Am I right? Rolling Eyes
