hllo
I would like to know one thing:
if I have a patch antenna ,and when I calculate the s parameters , what is the meaning of these parameters for the patch antenna?
is there a difference when I want to calculate in the board, or in the middle?
how do i , if i want to calculate with matlab??

| If you have a single patch antenna, then you will look at S11. This is the reflection coefficient. So you have some transmission circuit from the radio or wherever, and you measure the impedance of the antenna, Zin. S11 tells you how much power is reflected from your transmitter (usually 50 Ohms). |
