Hi I was going through the theory of reflector antennas and came across aperture taper efficiency.. Could you explain what exactly is it and why does it decrease with edge illumination? Does it have any relation with cross-polarization effects happening in paraboloidal reflector antenna? Does the difference in E plane and H plane pattern decrease or increase with increasing cross polarization...

Guess these are many questions.. Would be very thankful for answers .. Question
