We have two spiral antennas working at 2-18 GHz. We attempted to measure the ressonances of a steel coil (4 mm diameter and 10 mm length) in transmission mode and we actually saw them as sharp absroption peaks.
However I can't manage to find a theoretical model that predicts the position of such ressonances.
My question is, given a coil of diameter D, length l and n turns/unit length, what are the ressonances I should expect?
I tried to figure this out through circuit theory, but it seems that an LRC circuit only shows one ressonance... (why?)
Thanks in advance for your help! |
