Hello,
I have designed a dual polarization antenna ( patch= copper, ground= copper, substrate= RT Duroid 5880) and resonant frequency f=2,443GHz. Then I bend it at radius=200mm and the resonant frequency f=2.428.
Actually when i bend the antenna the effective length is increased so the resonant frequency should shift up and not down as in my case correct?
Can sb please give me some tips in this issue?
Thanks in advance, |

Do you have a picture to describe the bending?
Also: more length = lower frequency
That is, if you increase the size of an antenna, the resonant frequency will shift lower. |

As a bending increase so that the radius of bending decrease the effective length reduced (not increase , sorry for my mistake) sothe frequency should shift up and not down as in my case.
Icant understand why from simulation i get that the frequency shift down, probably meshing problem but i am not sure. |
