Hello,i'm working on a project for school for antenna course,knowing the Er,Etheta and Ephi ( modulus and phase) for a plane in a fixed distance Z,i have to extract the Ex and Ey. i'm a bit confused on how to do that?is a simple spherical to cartesian transformation enough?
Thank you in advance

Yes, it is.
Ex = Er*sin(theta)*cos(phi) + Eth*cos(theta)*cos(phi)  Ephi*sin(phi)
Ey = Er*sin(theta)*sin(phi) + Eth*cos(theta)*sin(phi) + Ephi*cos(phi)
Ez = Er*cos(theta)  Eth*sin(theta)
