| I have read, with no explanation, that there would be approximately a -26db loss from a LHCP wave being received by a RHCP Cavity Backed Spiral antenna. Could anybody verify this, and provide the basic theory involved to get to this figure? |

| That will come from an empirical measurement of the polorisation. All it means is that the antennas are not perfectly circularly polarised. That said -26db is pretty good and once you have real world reflections etc it would probably be pointless trying to improve it. |
