Hello,
I was wondering how can I calculate the inductance and functioning data of an antenna for an NFC Chip when this is not a circular, square or spiral shaped. I can only find formulas and information online for those shapes. Alternatively, is there any software where I can introduce my NFC Antenna shape and calculate its inductance?
I am designing a product that will essentially be the NFC tag itself since it will have the coil loops of the NFC chip surrounding its shape. This will imply having the loops irregularly shaped. I have been manually building and testing different shapes with coil and some do work, however i need a more precise calculation.
Thanks in advance,

Do you have a network analyzer? You can just make your loop with some wire and measure it directly, change it and get all hte information you need right there. You'll need a network analyzer at the end of the day for matching anyway, so might as well start using it now.
You can look up inductance formulas based on length and diameter or width of the trace |
