Do radiation beam using antenna array could make a 360 degree scan??
And can antenna array be used in BS of cellular network to track the mobile user? |

Yes it is possible to do 360 scan. You can adjust the weights of the antenna array for maximum reception towards any specific angle. This will require a 2-dimensional array though.
It is also possible for a base station to track a mobile user. However, base stations tend to have broad beam widths for maximum coverage, so there would need to be a major overhaul to the infrastructure (more antennas, tighter beam width antennas, and a lot more processing). |

here are a few ways depending on what type of antenna it is.
If you have a simple half-wavelength dipole antenna, you can assume a resistor of 70 Ohms and some inductance (impedance is about 73 + j43 ohms) depending on the frequency.
If you have a complicated antenna, you can measure it on a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to get the impedance and then make a simple circuit.
Generally you will have some resistance (for radiation resistance + loss resistance) and either some capacitance or inductance in series. |
