Can any one suggest me the design criteria for a micro strip antenna having bandwidth 500MHz..

You need to read up on fractional bandwidth.

If your center frequency is 20 GHz, that's pretty easy. If your center frequency is 750 MHz, that's impossible. Since you didn't specify, you didn't put any thought into the question.

my center frequency is 3.9936 GHz
