What would happen if someone were to use a twin lead Tx line to transmit in the X band and the conductor separation was not << than a wavelength? Would the line become lossy?

Thanks

Two things would happen:

- the line would potentially radiate a lot of energy, making the line appear lossy

- the line would not have a characteristic impedance of 50 Ohms, and would thus reflect most of the power before it reached the antenna
